Inviting applications for Grant in Aid to Voluntary Organisations

Applications for the year 2009-2010 from eligible voluntary organizations are invited for different schemes of Grant-in-Aid (names given in the table below) of the Deptt. of Women & Child Development & Deptt. of Social Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Women & Child Development, Govt. of India, which are processed by the Voluntary Action Cell of the Deptt. of Women & Child Development, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, in the manner as details below:-

General instructions for applicant voluntary organization

1.	Application should be in the format as prescribed under the applicable scheme.

2.	Application in other than the prescribed format under the applicable scheme will be summarily rejected.

3.	Applications submitted without the documents / enclosers as prescribed under the applicable GIA scheme will not be considered.

4.	Prescribed application formats, forms etc. and details of required documents are available on websites of the Dept. of Women and Child Development/Social Welfare and concerned Ministry of Govt. of India. 5.	Every GIA scheme of the Ministries as detailed in the table given above, has its own different eligibility conditions/criteria, which can be seen in the above given websites. Applicant Voluntary Organizations are advised to ensure that they fulfill eligibility conditions, failing which, they should NOT apply.

6.	Each and every page of the application and enclosures must be signed by the authorized signatory and stamped with the seal of the organization. Otherwise application will not be considered.

7.	Interested eligible NGOs must submit their two copies of applications/proposals in two separate office file-covers. All papers of the applications/proposals must be page-numbered separately in the back-to-front fashion. The file covers containing the applications / proposals must indicate boldly the name & address (Registered Office) of the NGO, name of the GIA scheme and the nature & address of the project applied for. The applicant NGOs must attach an Index on top of the application / proposal clearly showing the page numbers at which various required documents, etc. are placed in the application / proposal.

8.	As conveyed by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, "under the revised scheme of Prevention of Alcoholism & Substance (Drug) Abuse, which came into effect from 01.10.2008, Counseling & Awareness Centres have been merged with the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCAs), therefore, funding for maintenance of the Counselling & Awareness Centres would not be possible under the revised scheme". The Deptt., therefore, hereby informs all concerned in this regard. Further, all concerned and interested NGOs are advised not to apply separately for the said project.

9.	As per the decision communicated by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, the releases by the Ministry to the NGOs for the whole financial year are now made in one installment. The NGOs receiving GIA in the previous year/s will submit their applications in both proforma (i.e. 1st installment & 2nd installment).

10.	Applications submitted through post or at Receipt & Issuing (R&I) of the Department or submitted in the manner other than as prescribed above, will not be considered.

11.	Application submitted in the Department after the last date will not be considered.

12.	Applicant Voluntary Organizations which have submitted their applications/project-proposals at Receipt & Issuing (R&I) or any other branch of the Dept. of Women & Child Development and Dept. of Social Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, for the year 2009-2010, prior to this notice, are hereby instructed to obtain the same and resubmit them in the manner prescribed here in this advertisement. Otherwise their applications will not be considered. No query/correspondence will be considered in this regard.

13.	Canvassing by the applicant organizations in any form will be a disqualification. Secretary Women & Child Development / Social Welfare
