Expression of interest (EOI) for hiring of consultancy services for Environmental Management

Plan (EMP) for the vector borne disease control project(VBDCP) under the World Bank

supported National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP),

Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOH&FW), Government of India (GoI)


The National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP), MOH&FW, GoI has received financial

support from the World Bank towards the cost of the National Vector Borne Disease Control Project.

The GoI intends to apply part of the project proceeds for hiring consulting services of consulting agency.


The objectives of the consulting services will be to assist NVBDCP in capacity building of the implementing

agencies in project states and districts in environment management, to monitor the implementation of

EMP activities in project districts as per the required regulatory and guidelines and to provide information

to NVBDCP on the status of implementation of EMP in project districts.

The project areas for malaria control and Kala azar related activities will be in the states of Andhra

Pradesh, Chattishgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar and West Bengal will be covered.

The agency shall develop capacity building in environment management through training workshops and carry out monitoring of implementation of activities under Environment Management Plan.

The consultant agency shall plan appropriate monitoring of EMP implementation in close collaboration with national, state and district VBDCP.


The expression of interest may be submitted on or before 19th July 2010 to the Director, NVBDCP at the address mentioned below in a sealed envelope. Interested consulting agencies may obtain further information related to the consultancy from the Directorate of NVBDCP during the office hours:

between 09:30 hrs to 18:00 hrs on any working day (Monday - Friday) or may refer to the programme website.
