The National Council for Teacher
Education - NCTE, established under NCTE Act, 1993
notified its 'Regulations - 2009' alongwith Norms
and Standards on 31st August 2009. A part of the
regulations, it is mandatory for all the teacher
education institutions recognized by the NCTE to
disclose all relevant details on their website which
would be hyperlinked to the NCTE website.
The NCTE would also regularly
monitor the functioning of the teacher education
institutions recognized by it, with a view to ensure
that they function as per the notified norms and
standards. Therefore, all the teacher education
institutions offering different teacher education
courses, recognized by the NCTE are hereby directed
to furnish details of their infrastructural and
instructional facilities available with them in the
prescribed "Institutions Portal/Self Disclosure" and
"Teacher Educators Portal" Proformas available on
the NCTE website
www.ncte-india.org, within 45 days from 25th
March 2010.
The online furnishing of the said
information in the Self Disclosure Proforma shall be
followed immediately within 7 days by submission of
its hard copy, by registered post, to the respective
office of the Regional Committee of NCTE accompanied
by a notarized affidavit, on a non-judicial stamp
paper of Rs. 100/- in the prescribed format
available on the NCTE website, giving an undertaking
that the information furnished by them is true and
that they will be liable to legal action, if any
information furnished by them is not found to be
correct subsequently.
Non-compliance of this public
notice will invite against the institution under
section 17 of the NCTE Act.
