Urdu literacy
campaign of Shama Educational Society
New Delhi: Shama Educational and
Polytechnic Society has been organizing, in cooperation with
Urdu Academy of Delhi, an Urdu literacy campaign for one year at
its Seelampur Centre in which about 30 girl students learnt
Urdu. At the end of the campaign, Society's president, Mirza
Shahid Changezi gave away certificates to the students and said
that in today's world women and girls becoming educated is very
essential and hence we shall continue this campaign in future.
Society's secretary Dr. Faheem Baig speaking on the occasion
said that if we have keep Urdu alive in the age, everyone of us
will have to jointly struggle and carry on this campaign and
Urdu academies also should open more and more such centres at
different place. He warned that if this campaign was stopped,
Urdu's condition will be very bad in coming years. Dr. Faheem
Baig added that we are thankful to Urdu newspapers through whom
the hope of keeping Urdu alive is being nurtured. |
